HANNELORE MEINHOLD-MORGAN

Hannelore Meinhold-Morgan studied ceramics and glaze making at the College of Art in Nurnburg, Germany. After qualifying, she gained experience in various studio potteries throughout Europe, including the Briglin Pottery and Alan Wallwork studios in London.

Hannelore settled in London in the late 1960's, eventually moving to rural Essex to raise her family. Here she established her own studio pottery in 1976, producing work for regional exhibitions and exhibitions abroad, including a permanent showcase at the chamber of Industry and Commerce in Germany.

Hannelore now produces mainly one-off pieces and studio ceramics. Her wide range of decorative and functional pieces, which are thrown and hand built in stoneware and earthenware, distinctly combine form, colour and texture.
