ADLINGTON Kit Adlington has been involved in pottery for a long time, going to evening classes and other courses when she had the opportunity. Other interests such as woodwork and dressmaking helped her to think creatively and to develop her sense of design. In the last few years she has had her own studio and time to develop her work. Most of the time she makes functional stoneware, fired to 1260oC in an electric kiln. The work is usually thrown, with occasional hand-built pieces. She is gradually extending
her own range of glazes and achieves interesting effects by applying
one glaze over another.
