I have been a felt maker since 1996 taking my art into schools all around the country as well as running adult workshops, working with special needs groups and team bonding programs in management training. I make felt articles such as scarves, hats, bags, slippers and my famous signature dish…my sculptured felt creatures of which I have written a book, Making Felted Friends published worldwide.
I specialize in using luxury fibres such as cashmere for sumptuous fashion items. My new work incorporates the needle felting technique or dry felting as it is know and using this I make various creatures, both storybook and farmyard, dressed and undressed. My website has many images as well as full details of all the felt courses I run.
I have worked internationally running workshops in New York at the Cooper Hewitt Museum, giving presentations at Felt Symposiums in Israel, given felt workshops and talks in Melbourne Australia, workshops in Canada and worked with indigenous groups in Ontario. I have exhibited widely in the UK as well as America.
I am a member of International Feltmakers Association and the current publicity officer.
